I thought it would be interesting to dump some silly old pictures on here, most of which I've never shown to anyone.
It's a sort of response to a post I read over at the Megatokyo Art forums today. They wanted to know if we ever throw art away. This was what I had to say:
I never throw stuff away digitally. With traditional paper, I throw stuff away only rarely.
It's been my experience that what seems worthless in the moment actually has a lot of potential. It's just a matter of seeing it. That's why I keep stuff and review it every now and then as a source of ideas/inspiration.
...not to mention the stuff that is truly irredeemable is usually funny as hell.
So, with that said, here's some old crap I see potential in. These are just a few from my pile of crap. I like to think of them as compellingly awful or simply overlooked. Bottom line is, all of these were considered failures or too primitive to be of any worth, yet there is a lot I could actually do with them.
